Abbas Saeedi, San Francisco Download Editor

Hello World! My name is Abbas Saeedi. I've spent over a decade immersed in technology journalism from my perch just outside of Oakland, California.

My journey began with a curiosity about how technology shapes our lives, and this curiosity has guided me through an exciting and fulfilling career. Over the years, my work has been featured in some of the most respected technology publications, including Geekwire, ReadWrite, Hacker Noon, TechCrunch, and several others that are sadly now defunct.

In the summer of 2024, I joined San Francisco Download in a leadership and editor capacity. Here, I oversee our national technology coverage, ensuring that we provide insightful, accurate, and engaging content to our readers. This role allows me to shape the narrative around technology on a national scale, bringing together a talented team of writers and editors to cover the stories that matter most.

I am based just outside of San Francisco, in the east bay near Oakland. Living here with my family, I find a perfect balance between the fast-paced world of technology journalism and the serene, family-oriented environment of the East Bay.

Throughout my career, I have seen the technology landscape evolve and I have had the true privilege of documenting these changes and analyzing their impact. As I continue my journey with San Francisco Download, I am excited to explore the next wave of technological advancements and share those insights with our readers.
